Coach Lu's blog updated the national team internal test 1 week before Kunshan national championship. Here are the highlights:
The younger gymnasts continue to make good progress, thanks to their solid fundamental skills. Tan Sixin, Yao Jinnan and Zeng Siqi all had good all-around performance.
As for UB, several gymnasts -Wu Liufang, Yao Jinna, Huang Huidan - competed the D+ bars transition element in their UB routines, following the international trend.
While remaining highly competitive on UB, He Kexin is competing DTY on vault again.
Cheng Fei officially comes back. Not quite her peak form yet, Fei did perform well in the both VT and FX – the only two exercises she participated in yesterday’s test.
Couch Lu also pointed out the issues the team has: too many apparatus specialists , lack of strong AAers and strong vaulter.
Fay is officially back! Glad to see her simply compete again
